THE MAIN PROJECT

Daily Dose of New Zealand

A short-form visual diary of Aotearoa: one road, animal, coastline, town, weather change or ordinary moment at a time.

A small scene can say a lot

The project is built around short videos rather than conventional travel guides. Each clip focuses on one recognisable moment: movement on the water, an unusual road, an animal encounter, changing light, a town seen in passing or a quiet scene that would normally go unnoticed.

The aim is not to present New Zealand as constant spectacle. It is to create a growing record of what the country looks like in normal life as well as in its dramatic landscapes.

What appears in the Daily Dose

Scenic and rural roads, coastlines and beaches, birds and other wildlife, small towns, Christchurch street scenes, ferries, cafés, weather, night drives, lakes, hills and brief moments that are difficult to plan.

New clips are published through New Zealand Now on YouTube, NZ Today on Instagram and NZ Today Now on TikTok.
